Before You Buy
Before You Buy a Dog
Before you Buy a dog: This article has two sides. The first side is definitely when you want to buy a pet for yourself, and the second side is when you want to purchase a pet as a gift for someone else.
It does not matter what kind of pet you are going to buy, there are a few factors you should consider before you buy. When you are looking to buy the pet for yourself, you should consider the following:
Before You Buy a Dog you have certain considerations:
Budget
- Resources, and
- Space
Size of the dog should really be a consideration, such as a large dog will needs a lot of space to run around and it needs constant attention from people when it is young. If you are considering a small dog like a pomp, you should know that it needs a lot of attention all through its life! Know These details before you buy.
Each kind of dog or breed have different personalities and likes and dislikes and each one of those aspects will have to be considered. You will need to read a lot about the pet you are thinking of purchasing and bet to know that breed of dogs. Remember this is a lifetime of commitment on your part.
When you are considering purchasing a dog as a gift, there are many things to consider. Does the person really want a dog. Can that person take care of the dog. Does that person have the space to take care of the dog. Does the dog have special needs. Another thing to consider is once you gift a pet, the other person needs to be prepared for a long term care taking assignment, and needs to be prepared financially to take care of the dog.
Before You Buy
ASPCA, says the average cost of taking care of a dog is about $500 – 700 annually. If you are thinking of buying a dog for Grandpa, make certain that Grandpa can take care of the dog and also consider the additional strain it is going to put on his finances.
So be careful when you or thinking about getting a dog for your family, do your research, and make sure that you or they are prepared for it!
Be prepared before you buy a dog.

I read all your info about buying a new dog, but I have 1 more suggestion that should be considered. Do not b uy a dog or puppy from a pet store (unless the store is holding a dog adoption). You will find that dog or puppies sold at pet stores could have bad diseases (both infectious and hereditary) and the majority could come from puppy mills. You will find that dogs from puppy mills are usually raised in extremely poor and inhumane conditions that you would NEVER want to see a dog in. The good reputable breeders typically do NOT supply pet stores with animals. These Reputable breeders usually only breed their dogs a couple of times a year and can usually sell their healthy dogs by themselves, through word of mouth, etc. This is an important rule.
I agree with you, thanks for the info
